On February 1st, I moved into a new studio in Downtown Los Angeles, and the light in this space has been a huge inspiration. From sunny to rainy to sunset tonight, I studied the quality and movement of the light and infused it into my art.

Influenced by Gerhard Richter after studying his documentary, I developed a more profound knowledge of technique and colors, which I applied to the new series.
My technique is to apply layer upon layer on the canvas and then take away and add until I discover the painting I was meant to make. I use a large palette knife to apply the paste and paint, creating movement through color and texture. Using very vibrant colors excites me, and as soon as I start to apply them to the canvas, I can feel the energy move through me.

“Beyond a Vision has power and dynamic movement. I love the silvery metallic notes to it.”
~ Lee Morey, Collector

“Beneath the palette of golden tones, the passionate red rises to the surface. The warm tones enhance the subtle textures hidden beneath the surface.” ~ Carleton Eastlake, Collector
It is impossible to capture the power of these paintings in photographs fully. I hope you will have a chance to see them in person before they are sold.
